Meet the Instructors
Kelly Collins, Chief Flight Instructor
Kelly has been a licenced pilot since 1975 and a flight istructor since 1985. In that time he has accumulated nearly 10,000 hours of flying time in 40 different types of aircraft. Over 8000 of those hours are as a Class 1 Flight Instructor. Kelly is also a Class 1 Aerobatic Instructor and a Transport Canada Pilot Examiner.
During his career Kelly has been a flight instructor for the Canadian Forces, and has managed the aerobatics program and instructor rating program at Moncton Flight College, one of the oldest and largest flying schools in Canada. Fortunately for us the call to return to the North he loves was strong enough for him to return to Yukon so we can offer the services of one of the best flight instructors in Canada, right here at Whitehorse Air.
Kelly's competence and patience extend beyond his flying obsession into music, in his spare time Kelly leads "The Big Band" and plays saxophone. Kelly, when not flying, satisfies an interest in all things technical by restoring antique radios and pursuing astronomy, before relaxing with family and playing pool.
Sasha Sywulsky, Flight Instructor

Sasha learned to fly in the mountains of southern British Columbia in 2000. She completed her commercial pilot licence in her own aircraft before moving to the Yukon in 2005. Sasha then obtained her instructor rating here with us in June 2007 and has been working as an instructor since that time. Her knowledge of mountain and remote area flying serves her and her students well in the Yukon.
When she is not flying, Sasha works as a swimming instructor and spins records as a DJ.
Angela Kiriak, Flight Instructor.
Angela is a highly experienced pilot and class 2 flight instructor with over 5000 hours of flying time. She has managed flying schools in B.C. and the Yukon, and has flown extensively for charter and medevac operations in the Yukon. With her experience with real-world northern flying, Angela is an excellent resource for students and licensed pilots alike.
